John Crews is set up on the Tennessee River fishing the point of an island near the channel. His pattern is dependent on shad and he’s using a variety of jerkbaits, swimsuits and spinnerbaits to get started.
He just boated his second keeper, a good largemouth weighing about 4 pounds. Already in the livewell is a smallmouth weighing about 2 1/2 pounds.
