John Cox has four bass in the boat now, including a 3-pounder. I’d estimate his weight between 7 and 9 pounds, but probably closer to 7. He’s been swimming a worm while cruising the lily pad fields along the edge of this bayou, looking for beds. Cox mentioned yesterday that he spent a lot of time on the trolling motor, looking, in the process of catching that 31-pound, 15-ounce five-bass limit. The sky is getting brighter, which is only going to help him.
