Myself and Steve Wright were discussing that fate about Keith Combs. He is currently in 44th place with 532 AOY points, and 14 pounds, 3 ounces on the BASSTrakk scoreboard for second place.
Combs is among the anglers who must win the tournament to punch a Classic ticket. Can he do it? The answer is probably not. He is 25 pounds behind current leader Patrick Walters.
Who would have ever thought the overall leader would have such an insurmountable lead as to create those odds? In most any other tournament claiming the win from second place might be possible.
