After warm, sunny conditions to start the first day of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series presented by Bass Pro Shops at Lake Hartwell, Championship Saturday has brought a different set of conditions.
Clouds, wind and chilly temperatures have spread over the area.
That hasn’t stopped Colton Parrott and Trevor Topken from getting a quick start. The duo from the state of South Carolina have caught four fish so far, including a 4-pound largemouth.
Fishing brush off the edge of a point, the duo has caught two spots in the last half hour and are looking to fill out their limit. On Day 1, they said they lost several fish that would have helped but have fished clean so far today.
After catching four bass for 6-0 on Day 1 that landed them in 216th, Parrott and Topken are looking to make a jump up the leaderboard on the final day.
