Despite making a costly mistake this morning, Jason Christie is moving up the unofficial leaderboard. The Oklahoma pro shows to have 18 pounds, 7 ounces on BassTrakk but will have two pounds deducted from his weight after a culling infraction within the first two hours of fishing on Day 2.
A two-pound penalty on Lake Champlain is massive with weights being as stacked as they are. Subtracting two pounds from his current estimated weight would drop Christie from fifth to 17th unofficially.
Christie being the veteran that he is, knows that all he can do is continue to increase his weight as much as possible and try to overcome it.
