Christie just keeps catching fish. If this was a numbers game then Christie would be building a big lead in the AOY.
It’s not but he keeps easing through 3-pounders hoping for that big one to show.
He’s no longer alone on this big flat. Ironically Palaniuk just pulled up. He’s 1/4 a mile away. But it would be cool to have these guys stay close on the water while they are battling it out.
If this whole place is full of 3-pounders then expect Palaniuk to finish out his limit soon. Then it becomes all about 4 and 5-pound fish, and the in-betweeners, or the anglers who will either provide the cushion in between these two anglers.
At some point, if Christie keeps this up and Palaniuk limits out (which you know he will) who wins or loses this title will hinge on someone else (or several someone’s) who catches them or not.
That’s when this race will get really interesting.
