Toyota Angler of the Year leader Brent Chapman just put his first smallmouth in the livewell. It was in the 2 to 2 and a half pound range. There’s a strong breeze blowing on Lake Oahe this morning, but Steve Bowman and I are in a big walleye boat that handles the waves well. No problems here.
Chapman felt that was a little unfair. “You guys need to be in a bass boat just like us,” he said with a smile.
