“My heart can’t take it!” yelled Bill Lowen, as he slid his second keeper, a 3-pound smallie, into his livewell. He is fishing an area with very heavy current. These brown bass already have a bulldog, never-quit attitude. However, when you add a two mph current to the mix, the battle, considering the light spinning tackle being used, is intense. That said, Lowen has not lost many fish over the past two days ... so the heartbreak level has been minimal. Perhaps that will balance his cardiac issues for the rest of the day.
