Bass turning on at Pokegama

Apparently the wake-up call for bass in Pokegama Lake didn’t ring until 9 a.m. Suddenly all four semifinal anglers are catching fish. Mike Iaconelli has a limit weighing 10-8 and Ish Monroe has 5 weighing 8-7. His last one was a 2-pounder that came on a frog. Iaconelli is catching smallmouth now, as he forecast. Jacob Powroznik is heating up too.

Monroe reports that the water surface temperature declined only a degree or two during the overnight 40-degree air temperatures where he’s fishing during. It’s currently 65.7 degrees.
