Casey Ashley went an hour and 20 minutes between his first and second fish this morning. No. 2 wasn’t near the quality of his 5-pound first fish, but the 1 3/4-pounder may be a signal of things to come.
Ashley swung and missed twice right before he set the hook this time. It was 8:45 before Ashley started catching them here yesterday. That was due to the delayed start caused by the high winds. But maybe it’s just when they start biting on this offshore hump Ashley is fishing. He’s throwing a Carolina rig.
