Matt Arey had his family and friends concerned yesterday. Or, more accurately, BASSTrakk had them concerned, after it showed Arey with no fish all day long. It may have been a cell service problem. Whatever, Arey came to the scales with 21-6 to move up from 31st place on Day 1 to 13th.
And the Shelby, N.C., pro is making a bid to make the top 10 cut today. This one will help – a 4-13 caught at 3:23. It gives Arey 17-9 on the day, unofficially, and has him in 12th place.
