Anglers are scattered wide

If you could see the BASSTrakk map, which you can’t by the way, you would see 75 Elite Series anglers as scattered as seemingly possible over Lake Lanier’s 38,000 acres. All of these guys are looking for that 16- to 18-pounds-per-day average that it’s probably going to take to win this tournament.

“It’s a big pond,” said Chad Morgenthaler of Reeds Spring, Mo., yesterday. “You can spread out. There are a lot of places to go. It’s going to fish pretty big. It always does.”
