Ruehling and Ruehling win on Minnewaska

The second event of the Amateur Bass Series season had 44 boats take to the water. The NW wind helped keep people cool on a hot day, but unfortunately, the big fish were cool and nowhere to be found for most of the field. Both Largemouth and Smallmouth were in a post-spawn funk and only a lucky few were able to find some 4lb+ fish.

Minnewaska is a lake that can be won on smallmouth or largemouth and the field weighed in an almost equal amount of each. Even though the big fish were stingy, everyone weighed in a limit and there were a lot of fish caught.

Dale and Ross Ruehling took home the victory with 16.42lbs of largemouth. Their second victory fishing Amateur Bass Series.

2nd place went to Tony Dvorak and Kristi Lamser with 16.02lbs of smallmouth and big bass of the event of 4.56lb smallmouth.
