…this…Little Bay de Noc of Lake Michigan which is way up there on the northern part of the lake. According to stuff I found on Google, we came to the right area for this shindig since 58% of the county is dirt, with 42% being water…that 42% out there that you are looking at will determine this year's Angler of the Year.

Check this out, you see these bikes, they're in a bike rack at the marina, the bikes are part of a deal called, Escanaba Yellow Bike Program which allows anyone, anyone meaning residents or visitors, 18 years or older to borrow the bikes for FREE and ride around town all in an effort to promote healthy physical activity. I don't know the politics of this place, but you gotta love this program…tip of the hat my friends, tip of the hat to you Escanaba.

I'll tell you, I have never been to the U.P. in my life, but I get it, I understand why people flock to this area, why the people who live here love it, for me it is the home I've never been to, where sky and water meet, the sweetwater of the Great Lakes. Thank you Escanaba for your hospitality, for your beauty, and for this bench where I will be sitting this week watching...
