Probably a 20-fish day so far for Elite angler Matt Herren. He has dropped the hammer.

Dropping the hammer just went out the window. We’re gonna have to think of something new. Maybe dropping the sledgehammer. Elite Pro Matt Herren has been a show to watch, literally catching 3-plus-pound fish steady all day, and he has it all to himself. Not sharing water with other anglers has been key to seeing what this lake is all about. It’s just looking for that one big bite.

Randall Tharp is in the thick of it.

And shortly thereafter, number five.

With a mix of species Brandon Palaniuk is able to add to his daily weight. Nothing large but adding on the pounds in a steady process of seek and catch.

Matt Herren still catching a lot of fish to try and upgrade his weigh, but several fish not making the 4lb cut are getting tossed.

Sometimes you have to get out there with them. Randall Tharp with one of the right ones for no. 4!

Matt Herren is in deep concentration . The mood has lightened but he is still concentrating hard to upgrade the weight to his five-fish limit.

Brandon Palaniuk is focused and hard at work preparing for today’s launch and his shot at only one thing, that’s moving up from spot 12. Being at the last spot making the cut, Brandon is excited to move up. Here we go for Day 4 on the water of the Bassmaster Elite at Cherokee Lake.
