Lake Ft. Gibson will be a new stop for the Mercury College B.A.S.S. Tour in 2012. “The mayor and I are very pleased you have picked Wagoner for the college tournament for 2012. It really helps the economic impact to our community, and the anglers are so friendly and show their appreciation of all we do to make them feel welcome. Being an avid fishing person myself, I get really excited when B.A.S.S. chooses Fort Gibson as it is one of the best bass lakes in Oklahoma,” said Cyrina Lang, tournament & tourism director, Wagoner Area Chamber of Commerce.

Our vibrant community is home to three institutions of higher learning, which fits well with this event. Additionally, the upper Mississippi River is one of the best fisheries in the country. I’m sure everyone will enjoy the opportunity to experience our region,” said Dave Clements, executive director of the La Crosse Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
