Velvick joins Vicious Vision

Bassmaster Elite Series pro Byron Velvick has signed with Vicious Vision Premium Polarized Eyewear.

FORSYTH, Mo. — Bassmaster Elite Series pro Byron Velvick has signed with Vicious Vision Premium Polarized Eyewear.

Velvick has three B.A.S.S. wins under his belt, including an impressive win in 2010 in which he weighed in nearly 100 pounds over the four-day tournament. In addition to fishing on tour, Velvick has worked as a commentator for BassCenter and as an on-the-water reporter and analyst for ESPN. He now hosts his own show, “Guides’ Eyes,” which airs on the Outdoor Channel on Fridays and Saturdays, and he is one of the 24 founders of Major League Fishing.

“I was very fortunate to meet the guys at Vicious Vision,” said Velvick. “What they have brought to market is the best pair of glasses I have ever worn. Not only do they allow me to see more in the water, but they deliver the best available protection from the sun, and they feel great, too.

“I had an opportunity to visit their lab in Springfield and it was very cool to see the personalized work that goes into every pair of glasses. There’s more to it than I could have ever imagined, and I have a new appreciation for this phenomenal eyewear!”

Vision Vision is also the major sponsor of “Guides’ Eyes.” The TV show is focused on the guides that work every day to deliver a great outdoors experience to their clients. Velvick travels all over America looking for guides who work endless hours to ensure their clients have success while on the water. The show airs on Fridays at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 11 a.m. (all Eastern).

“When we looked at what Byron brought to the table, it just made sense to get him on the Vicious Vision team,” said the company’s owner, Dr. Doug Jordan.

“He’s not only a known sight fisherman on the tour, but he also has the Outdoor Channel exposure he brings with “Guides’ Eyes” and Major League Fishing. Add to that the exposure he still receives from his appearance as ABC’s “The Bachelor,” and he fills a significant role in driving impressions for our brand.

“We are very glad that he agreed to come on board with us.”
