Jill Hibdon, ex-wife of Classic champ, killed in car accident

As part of one of fishing's most famous families, Jill Hibdon was wife of one Classic champ, daughter-in-law to another and mother of a Junior champion.

Jill Linette Hibdon, 42, of Stover, Mo., died Wednesday evening, December 7, 2011, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident north of her hometown.

Hibdon was the ex-wife of 1997 Bassmaster Classic champion, Dion Hibdon, the ex-daughter-in-law of 1988 Classic champion Guido Hibdon and the mother of 2006 Junior Bassmaster World Champion Payden Hibdon.

She was a 1988 graduate of Morgan County R-I High School in Stover. At the time of her death, she was taking online Interior Design courses and working at Casa Bonita Home Furnishings in Stover. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stover.

She is survived by three sons (Payden, Lawson and Connar Hibdon), her parents (Mancil and Sue Marriott), six siblings, 17 nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews, her fiancé (Anthony Winslow) and her ex-husband (Dion Hibdon).

Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Sunday, December 11, at the First Baptist Church in Stover. Interment will be in the Marriott Family Cemetery on T Highway south of Stover.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lawson and Connar Hibdon Education Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
