Rapala’s Jointed Shallow Shad Rap
Rapala says this bait perfectly mimics a wounded, struggling baitfish as it hobbles along in shallow water or on the surface. However, if you crank the 05 model, it’ll dive to 4 feet, and the 07 will dive to 5 feet.
Because the Jointed Shad Rap has grown a diving bill, and this is the result.
Ideally, one of two ways: You can cast it and crank it around shallow cover, or twitch it slowly along the surface, waiting for a bass to smack it silly. At all speeds, this critter wiggles and wobbles nonstop.
It’s got decades of Rapala R&D built right in to it, comes with VMC hooks (which have more than 100 years of experience behind them), and a dozen of Rapala’s proven colors. What’s not to love? Plus, they’re all tank-tested before they’re packaged.
