What is it?
Evolve’s Mad Mouse, a topwater vermin that’s destined to get crushed by hungry bass.
What does it do?
It does the buzzing frog thing but with a mousy twist. The bait is injection molded, soft and buoyant enough to be worked slowly across the surface, tantalizing bass below.
Why do I need it?
To elicit the heart-stopping strikes that come with throwing a buzzing topwater.
How do I use it?
There are several ways to work a bait like this. A popular method is rigging it on a screwlock hook, either weighted or unweighted, and tossing it out over a patch of submerged grass. Ideally the bass come up and smash it. You can also rig it on a standard EWG hook with a tiny, pegged (1/8-ounce) weight up front to give you some casting distance. Either way, when a fish blows up, reel down fast and show ‘em who’s boss with a monster hookset.
What sets it apart?
Well, besides the fact that it’s probably the only buzzing-style topwater mouse there is, this thing is super soft and has a hook slot for fool-proof hookups. Plus, its little feet and tail all three churn the water. Three colors are available.
