The X-tra Deep series of cranks from Strike King reach the depths that are holding feeding fish.

What is it?

Strike King X-tra Deep Divers, 3XD, 5XD, 6XD, 8XD and 10XD

What does it do?

Strike King’s XD family of crankbaits dives to hard-to-reach levels when big bass are feeding in the abyss.

What sets it apart?

With several sizes to choose from, no fish is safe when holding to deep structure. The crankbaits are designed with a unique curved bill to create a steep dive angle, which enables the baits to attain the running depth very quickly. Match the ability to access deep water quickly with numerous highly detailed finishes and you have a bait that will do the hunting for you.

How do I use it?

With the use of the right crankbait rod and reel, match the right XD with the depth that the fish are holding and crank ‘em in! The bill design enables the lure to track well when in contact with the bottom. The longer the cast, the deeper the bait will run, and at 2 ounces the 10XD can be tossed a long ways! The 3XD runs to 10 feet or more, the 5XD reaches 15 feet, the 6XD runs to 18 feet and then some, the 8XD can dive to 20 plus and the 10XD can reach 25 feet or more. Each size is available in 12 lifelike colors.

How much?

$5.69-$12.99

Editor Insight

These baits are tools that every serious bass angler should have on-hand. They cast well, they look great and they go deep, just like an Olympic diver from the 10m board. A heavy-duty crankbait rod with a fast, deep-spooled reel loaded with 20-pound fluorocarbon will do the trick when needing to reach the right depths. Get a tray of each and you’ll catch fish from the hard-to-reach depths.
