Gear Review: Hoax Fish Chiseler

What is it?

Hoax Fish Chiseler

What does it do?

The soft stick bait with a bladed tail can be rigged under a multitude of techniques and used around all kinds of cover.

What sets it apart?

The Chiseler is different from most stick baits out there especially due to the trick spade tail that acts as a rudder. The worm has a large profile, but moves very attractively through the water.

How do I use it?

Can be used as a Texas and Carolina rig, wacky rig or even rigged weightless.

How much?

$4.89 per six pack.

Editor insight:

This is certainly a fresh look at a classic presentation. The innovation that is behind this bait and the others under the Hoax brand is pretty impressive — the Chiseler is no exception. The bladed tail emits added vibration and forces the bait to swim in a unique fashion, which some bass that I’ve caught recently find hard to resist.
