Editor insight:

I’m not surprised that Abu Garcia once again pushes the limits on low-profile baitcasting reels, and the MGXtreme is no exception. It’s lightweight and smooth as silk, which makes it a pure pleasure to fish. But, the application is obvious, too. The feather-light frame and ergonomic frame reduces arm and hand fatigue, which means more casts during the day, and that translates into more fish. Plus, the reel will stand up to the abuse hardcore bass anglers tend to dish out.
