Media to the rescue

Wow, I’ve always wanted to write this at a B.A.S.S. event.

This is a developing story.

Anyone viewing the video clips is aware that James Overstreet’s camera boat got snagged on one of the gazillion hidden stumps just below the surface of Lake Seminole. Overstreet, his boat driver and their swamped boat are now involved with what is best described as a rescue operation.

On this beautiful day, of the 166 tournament boats and unknown number of recreational vessels comes one to the rescue. That boat is piloted by Shaye Baker, a skilled steersman on this lake dotted with dangerous navigational hazards. Baker is a fine on-water coverage hound when he’s not on the lookout for his fellow waterborne media brethren.

On Bassmaster.com later today you can read a full account of what happened. With James Overstreet there will be many quotes worth, well, quoting.
