Biffle calls audible

Tommy Biffle hasn’t pitched or flipped a jig all week. Biffle says to James Overstreet, “Wouldn’t it be something if I got on a flipping bite here on the last day?”

Sure it would because the technique is Biffle’s forte throughout his stellar career. That begs the question of why hasn’t Biffle already been flipping all week? This afternoon I will ask him.

Biffle caught a 3-pounder and lost another of equal size during the conversation with Overstreet. He couldn’t land the other fish because it got pinned between two limbs of a laydown.

One probable reason why he abandoned the offshore, shallow humps that he knows so well on Fort Gibson is the water is rising. That is creating new opportunities and fishing areas for his trademark technique.
