Steve Bowman and I, along with our boat driver Jon Kuester, are on a big reef on the east side of Mille Lacs that had attracted a passel of Elite anglers. Nearby we can see Keith Combs, Jacob Powroznik, Hank Cherry, Randall Tharp, Boyd Duckett, Matt Herren and Brandon Palaniuk. The last two are close enough to make fun of each other and compare notes. Herren has popped into first place in BassTrakk, but he tells us his fish are all 3 pounds or lighter.
