Top contenders in All-Star voting

Gerald Swindle is one of the top contenders in Toyota Trucks All-Star Week voting, now that we're nearly through the voting period. Only the Top 4 in votes get to compete in the event. DENNY BRAUER has been in the Top 10 of All-Star voting since voting began Aug. 28 on the strength of his long and storied career as a professional bass fisherman. The flipping master is a favorite among longtime fans of the sport. Vote now!

How about a guided trip on Grand Lake? TERRY BUTCHER is offering to take a fan out on the 2013 Bassmaster Classic waters if he gets into All-Star Week. BRANDON CARD remembers his roots. An alumnus of the Bassmaster College fishing program, Card will donate 20 percent of his winnings to the University of Kentucky fishing team, and his sponsor Onyx Outdoors will provide free gear to the team. Clunn has built a loyal fan base over the years, especially with his record four Bassmaster Classic wins. JOHN CREWS is looking out for the kids with his promotion. "I will donate 25 percent of anything I win during All-Star Week to Tackle the Storm Foundation," he explained. MICHAEL IACONELLI is one of the most polarizing pros on the circuit: Some fans love him, and others love to hate him. His notoriety has paid off with tons of All-Star votes, placing him daily in either the first or second spot. CHRIS LANE wants to help out young anglers. BRITT MYERS wants to trick out your truck! If he gets voted into Toyota Trucks All-Star Week, the pro will give away a set of ATX Series rims and NITTO tires, his tournament jersey, a rod/reel combo and a day of fishing. TAKAHIRO OMORI has had two major benefits going into All-Star voting. He earned a lot of American fans when he won the 2004 Bassmaster Classic, followed by a Tour event and an Open event in less than 18 months. But an even bigger benefit for him this year is that All-Star voting has been opened up to include Japanese fans, and the East has shown up to support Omori and other Japanese anglers. BRANDON PALANIUK burst onto the pro fishing scene only two years ago, but he has gained fans at a crazy pace. He came from the B.A.S.S. Federation Nation and qualified to fish the Elite Series as the BFN's 2010 champion. Since then, he has won an Elite Series event and placed fourth in the 2011 Classic. BRADLEY ROY plans to use his winnings in memory of his grandmother, Judy Roy. Judy died of ovarian cancer just prior to Roy's rookie season on the Elite Series. He'll donate 20 percent of his winnings to the Ovarian Awareness of Kentucky (O.A.K.) if he is voted in to All-Star. "Ovarian cancer directly affected my family," said Roy.
