Mullins’ Pond

Championship Sunday is a time to pull out all the stops. Anglers must fish harder than the previous three days to have a chance at taking home a win. Angler David Mullins did just that. Pushing his way into a small island pond in the middle of Cherokee Lake, Mullins was able to catch a few fish that were likely untouched during the earlier days of this event. When we arrived on scene Davy Hite had climbed up the bank and was explaining how Mullins was fishing to the camera.

After several tries out deep, Mullins moved to the pond bank and began to throw alone the rocky shore.

He worked his way around to the back corner of the opening.
