After the Elite Series event on Lake Texoma, Edwin Evers hosted a group of anglers on a private lake for another OPTIMA Batteries Healing Heroes in Action Tour presented by General Tire.

There were four fishing teams that would participate. Each Elite Series angler had a Purple Heart recipient in the boat with them, the fourth team was determined by a bid auction held on Evers' Facebook page.

Now in its second year, the Healing Heroes in Action Tour supports the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to serving the nation’s combat-wounded Purple Heart veterans through outdoor sporting activities.

And after only a few casts the 2016 Bassmaster Classic Champion was fighting a good fish to the boat.

Each team was allowed to weigh three fish, only one of which could be caught by the Elite Series angler.
