Jim Marona caught this bass as part of his best five-fish limit once caught on Lake Guntersville in Alabama. He said his total for the day was 27 pounds.
Eric Stroud said his old spring scale weighed in this baby at 11.25 pounds, but he added, "I'm unsure of its true weight."
Tom Illar Sr. calls this his "Christmas bass" because he caught it Dec. 26. He was fishing crankbaits in West Virginia. "Who would believe it?" he asked.

"One smallie is 6.3 and the other is 5.4 pounds," said Tom Webb. He caught them on Lake Nickajack on the Tennessee River. B.A.S.S. Facebook fan Ryan Laws commented: "The smallies' coloration pattern is just amazing!"
Ryan Summers caught this bass in a private pond in north Missouri that has been in his family for more than 30 years. "I caught it on a black and blue ChatterBait," he said. The bass weighed in at 7.7 pounds.
Shane Yelverton said his bass weighed 12 1/2 pounds. He caught it in Texas' Falcon Lake in February 2010. "You don't need a guided trip for a bass like that," commented B.A.S.S. Facebook fan Rogelio Garza. "I catch them every trip to Falcon!"
David Partridge caught this fish on his lunch break! He didn't even have a scale with him. But based on the length (28 inches) and girth (22 inches), he estimated the bass' weight was about 17 pounds. Hundreds of fellow Facebook fans asked him what he caught the fish on, and he answered: Just a black/blue jig.
