Day Two on Fort Gibson Lake

LeDoux started Day Two in 78th place with 6 pounds, 3 ounces. 

A spectator uses binoculars to get a closer look at anglers at a distance. 

Spectators watch from a respectable distance as tournament leader Kevin Short fights a fish to the boat. 

Kevin Short launches a long cast, and watches…

…as the bait falls downward. 

Short’s fishing area is heavily populated with stumps.

Short was using multiple baits to attack the stump field. 

Short’s co-angler John Dubois gets in on the fish catching action. 

Short looks on and waits with the net. 

The fish jumps, but Short has the net in perfection position. 

After an assist from his pro, John Dubois has his first keeper of the day in the boat. 

Short is instantly back at work firing casts between the stumps. 

A few minutes later, Dubois returns the favor and nets another keeper fish for Short.

Short removes the hooks from the fish.  

Short is pumped to have his fourth keeper fish in the boat. 

The fish goes in the live well and Short is well on his way to a quick limit of fish.
