Day on the lake with Jamie Horton

Welcome to Bassmaster Magazine's Day on the Lake! This month, it’s Jamie Horton's turn to take on a small lake he’s never seen before; he’ll attempt to catch bass for seven hours while we document his every move.

For May, Jamie Horton takes Bassmaster’s challenge — the “Day on the Lake” series that puts Elite Series anglers on small lakes they’ve never seen before while giving them seven hours to locate and catch bass. The 46-year-old Centreville, Ala., pro has qualified for two Classics. A project manager for a large construction company, Horton advanced to the Elite Series after winning the B.A.S.S. Nation Championship on the Ouachita River in 2011.
