Lake Conroe Park and Lake View Marina are the official marina and take off for the 2017 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, March 24-26. Lake Conroe Park, located at 14968 Hwy 105 West, Montgomery, Texas, is where the pro anglers will group up waiting for their number to be called out to begin fishing. Anglers will launch at Lake View Marina and then idle over to Lake Conroe County Park and line up for take off. Launch time is 7:20 a.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday – Weigh-in is 3:00 p.m. at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

Lake Conroe Park sits on the southwest shore of Lake Conroe and offers 13 acres of grounds for crowds to view the start of the Classic, have a picnic, and spend the day if they want to wait for the anglers to return. Parking is available at the park, and off-site parking will be available with buses ready to transport you back and forth to the park. Additional amenities include two covered pavilions, a softball field and volleyball areas.

Lake Conroe is bordered on the south end of the lake by private homes and condominiums. Pictured is another fishing pier in the park. Also, the docks will be a great place to get pictures of the pros as they wait their turn for to blast off up the lake.

Dockage space is available for the professional anglers to make that last minute adjustment before heading over to the park for the tournament launch, or wait for their number to be called for loading their boat on their trailer for the trip back to Houston and Minute Maid Park for the weigh-in.
