B.A.S.S. Facebook fans and Twitter followers are always willing to share their best pics. They range from California giants to Florida monsters. Our Northern fans, though, have a special brand of photos that the lower states can't capture: ice fishing. Check out these ice photos and share your own on Facebook and on Twitter.
"It's not a giant, but still -- catching ice bass in Colorado is sweet!" said B.A.S.S. Twitter follower Chad Rawlings (@ChadRawlings1).
Darrel guessed this bass weighed around 6 pounds. (He forgot his scale that day.) It was his best one through the ice this year in New Hampshire.
This bass was Kory's first through the ice.
One of the benefits of being able to tolerate the Minnesota cold weather is the ability to pull bass like this out from underneath the ice. Check out Mitch Swanny's catch!
Mitch Swanny calls this "Minnesota ice fishing at its best." He said the bass weighed 7 1/2 pounds and measured 23 inches.
Jace Peterson's 18-inch largemouth came from a lake in northern Minnesota in December.
"This is my baby sister with a 3-pound bucketmouth," said Jesse Robert Powell.
Flanked by snow, Keith Pischke shows off a good-looking bass. This fish came from Webb Lake in Wisconsin.
This is a good-looking fish and a very cold backdrop!
Jason Pope caught this 4-pounder through the ice last year on New York’s Oneida Lake. He was fishing a Custom Jigs & Spins Diamond Jig, searching for bluegill, crappie and perch.
Kyle Branecki caught this bass on public water in southeast Nebraska. “I didn’t get a weight or measurement, but she was over 7 pounds for sure,” said Branecki. He caught it on a #5 Chubby Darter. “Ice fishing keeps me sane over the winter months.”
Mike Ebach was jigging for northern pike but caught this not-so-little fella. He was fishing a Cane Thumper in Traverse City, Mich.
Oneida Lake in New York gave up this smallmouth.
“Smallmouth through the ice!” said Jesse Frost. She was fishing with wax worms.
This smallmouth came out of the ice in Ontario. “It went right back down the hole after this quick picture,” said Kyle Jeffery.
Trevor Sexton caught this nice bass through the ice. “Big ol’ sleepy guy,” he said.
