When Steve Hull II posted this 6-pounder on the B.A.S.S. Facebook page, B.A.S.S. shared it with our fans — and got smacktalk from other anglers who thought their smallies were better! So we asked everyone to send in their best bronzeback photo, and what follows are only some of the tremendous number of photos submitted from fans! Got your own? Brett Cox was the first to challenge Mr. Hull’s photo. Weighing in at 6 pounds, 8 ounces, this fish is Cox’s pride and joy!

Chris Aldridge caught this beauty on Alabama’s Pickwick Lake.

Jess Higgins caught this 4-pounder in Ely, Minn., in August 2011. It was 22 inches long and he caught it on a chartreuse Berkley Gulp Alive 4-inch minnow.

In 2009, John Hagaman took this little girl fishing in Thousand Islands, N.Y., and she showed she’s got what it takes! We’ll probably be seeing more of her!

Dan Kimmel caught this smallie on Torch Lake in Michigan in October 2011. “Big tail!” he pointed out.

Jeremy Limerick caught this baby on Lake Erie. It weighed in at 4 pounds, 10 ounces.

If you haven’t been fishing in California, this is what you’re missing. Zach Meeks showed off this smallmouth from Folsom Lake in the Golden State.

Jeremy Kimberling caught this fish in the last 15 minutes of the final Idaho B.A.S.S. Federation Nation qualifier. He said it weighed just more than 4 pounds — “not big but memorable.” It got him to the divisional, so it was big enough!

Another Pickwick smallie! This one was caught by Tommy Wilson just last month.

Matt DeVore went on a three-day camping-fishing-canoeing trip by himself on the Delaware River. Here’s what he had to say: “Pouring rain almost the entire time. Took off my waterproof pants and jacket as bass started busting on the surface just after a downpour. Living in New York City, I don’t get much smallie time, so this was most likely my biggest at 5 pounds, 4 ounces.”
