Washington club cleans up Yakima

The Washington River Runners bass club collected 37 pounds of trash along the Yakima River.

The Washington River Runners bass club cleaned up two primitive state boat launches on the Yakima River just east of the Tri-Cities area.

Volunteers removed 37 pounds of trash, including beer cans and bottles, and took the waste to recycling or to the County Transfer Station. Also, club members posted 12 hazardous material flags and informated the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife of their locations.

The bass club spent 15 man-hours on this project.
