Take 30 seconds to improve U.S. fisheries

In half a minute, you can make a difference in fisheries across America. Let your voice be heard!

The Sportsmen’s Act of 2012, a set of 15 bills that will benefit recreational anglers, failed to pass the U.S. Senate in a surprise upset on Nov. 26.

But you can still help.

“The Sportsmen’s Act of 2012 may yet again come up for vote in the U.S. Senate,” stated a KeepAmericaFishing (KAF) press release, “as members are working hard to craft a solution to the procedural problem that stopped the bill from passing the Senate. A diverse coalition of angling, hunting and conservation organizations is working hard to support this effort and eventual passage, but time is running out.”

To help provide for increased access, habitat conservation and improved fish and wildlife management, tell your senators to bring this bill back to the floor and vote YES for fish and wildlife conservation.

KeepAmericaFishing makes it easy: Just go to this link on the KAF website and type in your zip code. It will take you to a pre-written letter that will go to your U.S. Senators once you add your contact information.

This is one of those times when inaction hurts fishermen and fisheries. Please take 30 seconds right now to click through and contact your legislators.
