Skeet rewards perfection

Skeet Reese takes Roy Halladay fishing after the MLB season is over in October. A gift for winner the A.L. Cy Young Award

Roy Halladay is widely considered the best pitcher in baseball, and on May 29, he threw the 20th perfect game in major league history. It was a cause for celebration that will last until the season is over, thanks to his team, the Philadelphia Phillies.

That's when the Phils have arranged for the 2003 A.L. Cy Young Award winner to go fishing with one of the bass world's best, Skeet Reese.

Halladay was born and raised in Colorado and is a lifelong outdoors lover, so the fishing trip is a perfect choice for the six-time All Star.

For his part, Reese has taped a message to Halladay that will be played for the pitcher prior to the Phillies' home game on Saturday against the San Diego Padres. The fishing trip will take place after the baseball season ends in October, when Halladay hopes to lead the Phils to their third straight appearance in the World Series.
