Pros, celebs go Ike for charity

CAMDEN, N.J. – The Ike Foundation and the Mid-Atlantic Youth Anglers organization have partnered to host the 2016 Ike Celebrity Pro Am Bass Tournament on the Delaware River on Saturday, August 6.

The Mid-Atlantic Youth Anglers organization was Host Coordinator of the 2014 Bassmaster Elite at Delaware River, where Iaconelli captured his eighth B.A.S.S. victory at a seemingly magical event in front of a hometown crowd.

Amateur anglers will have the opportunity to create three-person teams comprised of: Three amateurs; two amateurs and a pro bass angler; or one amateur, one pro and one celebrity. Sixteen bass fishing professionals, including Kevin VanDam, Ish Monroe and John Crews, and at least four celebrities are expected to participate in the event.

Prizes and trophies will be awarded to teams placing in the top 5 and the team with the largest bass (the “Lunker” prize). Prizes include a 17’ Basscat Margay and trailer valued at $30,000, an Exmark Mower valued at $12,000, Rapala Gift Cards, Flambeau Gift Packs, and more. There will also be a FUN FEST for youth and families from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with food vendors, games, giveaways, and entertainment. Dinner will be provided for tournament participants.

All proceeds from the one-day tournament will directly benefit youth fishing programs with the Mid-Atlantic Youth Anglers, as well as cancer patients’ and disabled veterans’ fishing activities and conservation projects via The Ike Foundation.
