MACON, Mo. — Clifford Pirch and Joe Sancho of the Bassmaster Elite Series have joined the pro team of Ardent Reels, called Team Ardent, for 2015.
“In just 10 years, Ardent Reels has become one of the leading high-performance reel manufacturers in the world,” said Pirch. “When I picked up the Ardent reel, the first thing I noticed was that it was light and comfortable. Then when I saw how far it cast, I was sold.”
“I am honored to become a member of Team Ardent,” said Sancho, who was an Elite Series rookie in 2014. “Over the years, I have watched spinning and baitcast reel developments, and while some are functional, most of them have been gimmicks.
“As a blue collar angler I focus on quality, dependability and performance,” Sancho continued. “I have all of those in the new Ardent Apex and Wire spinning reels, and I look forward to competing.”
Other additions to Team Ardent are Scott Canterbury and Greg Bohannan of the FLW Tour.
These top professionals will be joining other long-time Team Ardent anglers, including Denny Brauer, Fred Roumbanis, James Niggemeyer and Pete Ponds, who will be competing in the Bassmaster Elite Series, FLW Tour and Major League Fishing trails.
The Team Ardent program is now entering its ninth year with more than 250 North American anglers who use Ardent reels, rods and reel care products. All Team Ardent members will be using a number of new products in 2015, including the Apex Grand, Apex Magnum, Wire, Bolt, Finesse spinning reels and Edge rods.
