Northern Open #3 adjusted

Because of a scheduling conflict, the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Northern Open #3 on Lake Champlain will be moved up one day, from Sept. 22 to Sept. 21.

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department has recently informed B.A.S.S. that an event on the 2016 schedule interferes with the annual Youth Waterfowl Hunting Weekend.

The agency has a policy to not issue any tournament permits for that weekend. B.A.S.S. did request a waiver, based on only 12 boats competing the final day, but it was denied.

Because of this scheduling conflict, the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Northern Open #3 on Lake Champlain will be moved up one day. The original dates were Sept. 22-24. The new dates will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, through Friday, Sept. 23. This will affect official practice and registration, which will all move one day in advance. The official practice days will be Sept. 18-20. Registration will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

Regrettably, we understand that some anglers who are currently registered based on previous announced dates may no longer be able to participate. Because of this unforeseen change in dates, we will issue refunds for any anglers who request them by Friday, Jan. 15, 2016. Requests for all three events in the Northern division or just the Lake Champlain event can be made by sending an e-mail to an@bassmaster.com
