Bassmaster Elite Series pro Kevin VanDam will be fishing the Ramada Championship on Oneida Lake out of a Nitro Z-9 boat, just like he does at every Elite Series event. Only this time, his boat wrap will be totally unique. The newly designed Nitro/Bass Pro Shops wrap features more than 5,629 pictures of Nitro Facebook fans as part of the design.
Nitro Boats held a contest on its Facebook page that began on Feb. 15 and ended June 30. The contest was called “Ride with the Pros.” To enter, all anyone had to do was like the Nitro Facebook page and send in a photograph of himself or herself. More than 7,000 entries were received; and from those entries, Stephanie from Arkansas was the contest winner and received a fully rigged Nitro Z-7 boat with a Mercury 150 OptiMax motor.
Pictures that were submitted for the contest were also used to create a boat wrap that was applied to the Nitro Z-9 KVD will fish from at the Bassmaster Elite Series event on Oneida Lake, Aug. 23 through 26. If you liked the Nitro Facebook page and submitted a picture, there is a good chance your photo will be on the wrap!
The boat wrap will also be displayed at the 2013 Bassmaster Classic in Tulsa, Okla., Feb. 22-24, 2013. The wrapped boat will then travel to 2013 Elite Series events for display and will be used as a backup boat for Nitro Elite Series pros.
