WILSON COUNTY, N.C. — Tyler Little, 16, caught a monster on North Carolina's Buckhorn Reservoir earlier this month.
The 8-pound, 6-ounce beast came on an Ol' Monster Worm.
Little is a member of the Five County Bassmasters and is helping establish a fishing team at his high school.
"Tyler also competes in a Central/Eastern North Carolina dedicated youth series I manage called the Youth Educational Series," said Jeff Narron, also a member of the Five County Bassmasters. The series introduces young anglers to the sport and gets them interested in establishing their own teams in their respective high schools.
"Tyler and his team partner, Chase Crocker, recently won one of these events and are currently tied for the top spot in the points competition," Narron added.
