GREENVILLE, S.C. — Celebrated marine wildlife artist and champion angler, Guy Harvey, brings his unique talents to the Super Bowl of bass fishing with a live demonstration of his world-acclaimed painting skills as well as visiting with fans at the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo at the TD Convention Center Feb. 20-22.

Harvey, a member of the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) Hall of Fame, is known throughout North America, the Caribbean and beyond for his colorful and dramatic paintings of gamefish—from the majestic blue marlin to freshwater bass.

He was commissioned to design the official artwork for the 2015 GEICO Bassmaster Classic. The design will be featured on the cover of Bassmaster Magazine’s special Classic issue as well as t-shirts and posters.

Harvey will demonstrate his painting skills at the AFTCO booth  #4096 in the TD Convention Center, and he will be greeting fans with appearances at the booths for Academy® Sports + Outdoors and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

“We at B.A.S.S. welcome Guy Harvey to the GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by GoPro,” said Bruce Akin, B.A.S.S. CEO.  “I have long admired his beautiful paintings of saltwater game fish, and I know bass fishing fans will love his artwork featuring their favorite sportfish. It is great to have a renowned artist and conservationist like Guy become part of the Classic.”

“I’m honored to be able to be part of this tournament that brings together thousands of freshwater fishing fans and the top bass fishermen in the world,” said Harvey, who has a Ph.D in Fisheries Biology. “This is my first Bassmaster Classic event and I look forward to meeting everyone there.”

Bill Shedd, AFTCO President and Guy Harvey clothing licensee said: “Guy’s presence at the Bassmaster Classic is the perfect venue to showcase Guy and his brand’s increasing interest and involvement in the bass fishing world.”

The tournament, held on nearby Lake Hartwell, is expected to draw 56 of the world’s best bass fishermen. They will compete for the title of Bassmaster Classic champion and a share of the $1 million purse.
