Despite a churning rumor mill, the Bassmaster Elite Series will still make a stop at Zapata, Texas, March 21-24 for the Falcon Slam. Tournament Director Trip Weldon reported that after talking with anglers and B.A.S.S. staff who have recently visited Zapata that there is enough water to hold a tournament.
True, several launch ramps are out of the water due to the 30-plus-foot low level, but the levels are still plenty safe for a 100-plus-boat tournament.
