Bass fishing luminary in need of lung transplant

Bass fishing luminary Ricky Green has 14 Bassmaster Classic appearances and two B.A.S.S. wins to his credit. Green, aka “Mr. Consistency,” caught his first bass when he was just six years old and has been hooked on the sport of fishing ever since.

Now, the 68-year-old Bass Fishing Hall of Famer is in need of a life-saving lung transplant, and the bass fishing community is coming together for a fundraiser to benefit Green.

The "Hook, Line & Legends" banquet will be held Thurs., Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in Hot Springs, Ark. Bass fishing legends from throughout the industry are lending a hand. See details below to make plans to attend. All proceeds from the event and auction go toward Green’s lung transplant surgery fund.

For those unable to attend, donations also are accepted through HelpHOPELive and are tax deductible. Click here to read more.
