BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Teresa Lux and Chris Brown, two veterans in media and events marketing, have been selected to complete the B.A.S.S. Sponsor Support Team, which has been assembled to provide support for existing and new business partners, Joe Higgins, vice president, sales for B.A.S.S. LLC, announced today.

Lux, the new director of Sales Support and Sponsorship, has 21 years of experience in sponsorship development and marketing with Time Inc.'s Southern Living franchise. As manager of Sponsorships, Brown, who has 10 years of outdoors industry experience with Strike King, will be the day-to-contact for B.A.S.S. sponsors.

"We trust that the addition of Teresa and Chris shows our commitment to our sponsors, who are vital not only to the success of B.A.S.S and our members, but also to growing the great sport of fishing," said B.A.S.S. CEO Bruce Akin.

"We are making significant upgrades on our sponsorship front with innovative marketing and support initiatives, and we are receiving great feedback as we share these programs with the sponsors. At the same time, we are upgrading our Sponsor Support Team with these two experienced, talented professionals," Higgins said.

Lux and Brown, who will be based in Birmingham, will join the company July 9, in time to join other B.A.S.S. staff at the ICAST Expo, the annual fishing industry trade show in Orlando, Fla.

In addition, Higgins announced the addition to his sales team of Chris Bork as Midwest and Corporate Partnerships sales manager.

Bork brings more than 12 years of sponsorship sales experience with the Memphis Grizzlies to his role. An avid angler formerly of Kalamazoo, Mich. — home of Bassmaster superstar Kevin VanDam — Bork is a longtime admirer of B.A.S.S. and has served as a Marshal during a Bassmaster Elite Series event.

"With the addition of Chris Bork, we are looking to grow our list of sponsors, especially in the non-endemic categories," said Akin.
