BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Brett Preuett sustained a hook in the head, a skinned shin and a hook in the shoe while working to get a Classic berth in the final days of the 2014 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Classic Bracket. And once he found out he won, he jumped for joy — right off the dock and into Chatuge Reservoir.
The University of Louisiana Monroe student and his teammate, Jackson Blackett, opened up during the B.A.S.S. Twitter chat. The two talked about everything from Preuett’s prepping for the Classic to how he hasn’t gotten around to doing the dishes (a roommate complained during the chat). Preuett also received good tidings from two previous Classic college competitors — Matt and Jordan Lee — and from the bracket runner-up, Zach Parker.
