The news comes as Ashley prepares to compete in the 2011 Elite Series, starting with The Sunshine Showdown Mar. 10 - 13, in Tavares, Fla. This is Ashley's fifth year competing in the Bassmaster Elite Series, with nine Top 10 tournament finishes to his name. He has been a member of Costa's pro staff since 2007.
This year, as title sponsor, Costa will custom wrap Ashley's Triton boat and Toyota Tundra, as well as design his tournament jerseys. Ashley wears Costa's Corbina and Harpoon frames with 580 green mirror and 580 copper lenses.
Many of Ashley's fans also know him as a country music artist. He often performs his songs, like "Fisherman," at music events along the Elite Series trail. Ashley is currently recording his music in Nashville, Tenn. He plans to debut his new singles, "Sunshine," written by Rodney Clawson, and "That's What I'm Fishing For," written by Mike Lane and Joe Lickteig, in spring 2011.
Costa has served as a longtime partner of the Bassmaster Elite Series, and most recently sponsored the Costa Stage at the Bassmaster Classic in New Orleans, where Ashley and Randy Montana performed live. In addition to Ashley, Costa's pro staff includes many members of the Elite Series roster.
Costa's 580 lenses block yellow light at the 580 nanometer on the light spectrum. The result for anglers is unparalleled visual clarity, the highest levels of polarization efficiency and razor sharp color enhancement. Costa's frame styles feature no-slip Hydrolite® nose pads and temple tips and flexible hinges for "forget-they're-on" fit. "I've been a fan of Costa for a long time, and not just because their sunglasses let me see the fish more clearly," said Ashley. "Costa practices what it preaches when it comes to protecting the sport I love, and I'm proud to be a part of their team."

Still handcrafted today in Florida, Costa creates what has been referred to as the highest quality, best performing sunglasses on the planet for outdoor enthusiasts. For Costa, conservation is all about sustainable fishing. Many fisheries that should be vibrant and healthy are all but devoid of native fish because they have fallen victim to poor fishing practices, unregulated development, lack of watershed protection or all of the above. Costa works with partners around the world to help increase awareness and influence policy so that both the fish and fishermen of tomorrow will have healthy waters to enjoy. Costa encourages others to help in any way they can. For more information, contact 1-800-447-3700 or visit the company's web site at www.costadelmar.com.
