We just stopped on Tommy Biffle to see if he's added anything to go with the giant he caught this morning.
If you will remember, that was reported as a 9-pounder.
Biffle now has a limit. His smallest is 3 1/2 pounds and he's got two 5-pound plus, one close to six.
Understand that could be three 5-pound plus. If that's the case, our elemental math puts him in the 27 pound range. He says he has 25. Either way a stellar start.
He's just not sure if he can keep that pace. "I'm not getting many bites," he said.
Evidently, he's getting the right ones. Not knowing what everyone else is doing, we have to guess that 25 plus will be in the lead after a dreary day on the pond.
But this is Chickamaugua, and it's produced bigger than that. It appears Day One will have some fireworks before it's all over.
